Our house combines Mid-Century Modern with classic cabin vibes. We fell in love with the exposed timber beams, the second story A-frame ceiling and open downstairs floor plan that is perfect for families and entertaining. The living room is perfect to cozy up and enjoy the fire or watch a movie. It includes minimal contemporary finishing's like brand new couch that can fit the whole family, white oak floors, roller shades, LED track lighting and Eames cigar pendant light. The dining room has an open flow to the kitchen and living room. While here you will enjoy the original funky tiffany chandelier which is next to a classic stone fireplace with a gas insert, and flows into our updated kitchen featuring new appliances (gas range), a double stainless sink, fresh white subway tile and soothing sage green cabinetry as well as everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The bedrooms are strategically placed throughout the house to offer space and privacy. The downstairs bedroom features a new queen mattress; the upstairs bedroom at the front of the house offers great treeline views and also includes new queen mattress. The largest bedroom upstairs is arranged like a bunkroom with two twin beds, a full bed and a baby crib. All beds have plush new pillows and bedding. Both up and downstairs bathrooms include designer wallpaper, new subway tile, shower fixtures and vanities. The bathrooms are stocked with all the amenities you will need to get you started. The house’s decor reflects a love of music, California, and the great outdoors, and is kid friendly—offering a high-chair, books, toys, games to enjoy (other people’s toys are more fun always). Use our Amazon Firestick to access your Netflix, Spotify and more. New windows throughout, a super efficient hot water heater, gas heat downstairs and electric baseboards in upstairs bedrooms. Gas grill and steel bear box for easy, safe trash disposal. Ideal location for those coming in from San Francisco and Sacramento—the house is on the first right-hand turn as you come off Echo Pass. The neighborhood is a great mix of year-round and seasonal homeowners and an active community. There’s lots of national forest land and meadows throughout the neighborhood and we’re down the street from a historic ranch. Enjoy views of Echo Pass, Mt. Tallac and the expanse of Christmas Valley. Easy access to Kirkwood, Sierra and Heavenly. In the summer, enjoy a short walk to Lake Baron and the Truckee River.
